Great scenes in awful movies, Part 7

“Disco Godfather” is a truly execrable film, a Rudy Ray Moore vehicle that represents the nadir of the blaxploitation genre – a hamfisted mishmash of music, karate, sermonizing and Moore’s over-the-top acting.

That said, one element of this film has stuck with me for more than a decade. After the Disco Godfather’s nephew gets whacked out on PCP, Moore visits the hospital where a kindly doctor breaks down some of his crazy patients. After one story (at the five-minute mark of the clip), Moore delivers one of the greatest lines ever uttered.

But HOW … and WHY?
